Are you considering an application to a MSc or PhD program? Are you looking for a training program in plasma research? A training in plasma science and technology could be precious and highly appreciated in both the industrial and the academic sectors. This field is undergoing rapid evolution and numerous projects offered are waiting to fulfil your interests. Offered on this web-site is the page Academic Courses, which describes MSc and PhD programs related to the Plasma-Québec Network. At McGill University, INRS, Université de Montréal and Université de Sherbrooke, young scientists and engineers are working on a variety of plasma-related projects. We are looking not only for Physics and Physical Engineering students: our programs and topics are open as a complement to a wide fraction of undergraduate science and technology programs such as: 1) Materials Science and Metallurgy; 2) Electrical Engineering; 3) Chemistry, Chemical and Process Engineering. You will find project offers into the MSc, PhD Thesis section. To each of these offers corresponds a description of the specialization the students should bring with them prior to their acceptance. It is suggested that the students wishing to apply to a project or to a program should contact directly the researcher, scientist or professor responsible for the project. Undergraduate students are invited to consult the section "Position offers". The undergraduate students should keep an eye on programs such as NSERC-USRA (Undergraduate Student Research Awards) in universities or industries. Students should apply prior to Feb.1st. Such awards are prestigious, and could open opportunities to a research experience in a majority of departments and projects. |
